Honored to share that my 400th U.S. patent has now been officially granted by the USPTO. This milestone reflects decades of continuous innovation in refining and petrochemicals, with a strong focus on catalysis and process development. This particular patent specifically targets increasing chemical production in crude‑to‑chemicals complexes, advancing the next generation of integrated refining‑petrochemical technologies.
I’m especially pleased that this patent was co‑invented with Ashok Punetha, an exceptional scientist whose contributions were invaluable. Excited for what comes next as we continue advancing new technologies through Technology Innovation Farms LLC—much more to come.
Brock University Brilliance Award 2025
The 60 recipients of the Alumni Brilliance Awards, created for the University’s diamond anniversary, have been recognized for significant contributions to their profession, local and global communities, or society at large over the past six decades. Dr. Koseoglu has been selected winner for the 1982.
Catalyst Manufacturers Association of Japan-Technology Award
The second award of the year. Together with the colleagues from Aramco and JGC C&C, Dr. Koseoglu was honored to receive the Technology Award from the Catalyst Manufacturers Association of Japan. The award ceremony was held in Tokyo Japan on June 5, 2024, recognizing the CAN hydrocracking zeolite / catalyst development and deployments. The CAN project started in 2007 and the first product, CAN-HC15, was deployed in 2014. The second product CAN-HC18 was developed and deployed in 2018. To date both products have been deployed three times, making six deployments in total.
Catalysis Society of Japan-Technology Advancement Award
Dr. Koseoglu and his former team members from Aramco and JGC C&C were honored to receive the prestigious Technology Advancement Award from the Catalysis Society of Japan, recognizing the CAN hydrocracking zeolite / catalyst development and deployments. The project started in 2007 and the first product, CAN-HC15, was deployed in 2014. The second product CAN-HC18 was developed and deployed in 2018. Saudi Aramco Presidential Excellence award 2016
From Arabian Sun:
Excellence is a long-standing hallmark of Saudi Aramco, and last week, the company celebrated many more examples of that with the 2nd annual Excellence Awards Ceremony at Al-Ghawar Hall.
Eleven individuals and five teams from across business lines were honored in a ceremony that featured a video presentation highlighting the efforts of this year’s recipients.
President and CEO Khalid A. Al-Falih noted that it was fitting that the ceremony was graced with the presence of HE Ali I. Al-Naimi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and chairman of Saudi Aramco’s Board of Directors, describing him as “the epitome of excellence.”
“None of us should ever forget that we are all part of a wider team. Those being honored tonight represent the excellence that we see throughout the company on a daily basis. This is what living our values truly means.”— Khalid A. Al-Falih
