Course Details

ScopeThe Hydrotreating / Hydrocracking Catalyst and Process Technologies Short Course overviews conventional distillate hydrotreating and hydrocracking technologies. The Short Course will deliver class-based lectures on process, case studies and various critical parameters related to processes.
ObjectiveUpon completion of this course the participants will have thorough understanding of the Hydrotreating and Hydrocracking Process Technologies, including a thorough crude oil and its fractions (feedstock) analysis, catalysts (types, properties, production and management) process chemistry, kinetics, main processing equipments, product yields, quality & specifications, operating conditions & procedures and process economics. The course will cover process monitoring calculations and case studies. The hydrotreating / hydrocracking process applications: Naphtha hydrotreating, mid-distillate hydrotreating, VGO hydrotreating / hydrocracking and residue hydroprocessing will be examined in detail. Pilot plant testing and process scale-up will be reviewed.
